"Ecological rehabilitation”

A tour was organized for the pupils of the boarding school n.a. E.G. Lastochkina to the Natural History Museum of the Reserve Museum “Kazan Kremlin” in the framework of the project “Ecological rehabilitation” held by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was held by the author of the project, the leading specialist of the Ministry Elena Gilmizyanova, together with fellow workers of the Natural History Museum “Kazan Kremlin”. The children were familiarized with exhibits, the history of the planet and the Republic of Tatarstan, and they were told about ancient animals that had lived on the planet millions of years ago. The following topics were touched upon: ecology, astronomy, mineralogy, mineral resources, geology, and paleontology.

The project aimed at ecological and educational work "Ecological Rehabilitation" has been implemented by the Ministry of Ecology for the children with disabilities for 10 years now. This project is aimed at creation of the area of green vegetation surrounding downtown areas, and educational environment of ecological and thematic orientation is being created including nature corners, phyto-flowerbeds, “alpine garden”, and flower gardens. Volunteer assistants and consultants – fellow workers of the Ministry, teachers of biology, geography, fellow workers of local history museums, the Republican ecological and biological methodical center, Volga-Kama State Nature Reserve, as well as volunteers representing students, and proponents of the public ecological movement are engaged in the work with children.
