Citizens of Tatarstan will participate in the All-Russian cleaning campaign “Let’s do it!”

A cleaning campaign “Let’s do it” will be held on September 20, 2015 in many cities and districts of the Republic of Tatarstan. The campaign is organized by the Center for Voluntary Work Development in the Republic of Tatarstan and such public movements as “Musora.bolshe.net” (“No more trash”), “Budet chisto” (“It will be clean”), and “EKA”. The event is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. On this day the campaign will be held at the following sites: landscaped area on Dubravnaya street, landscaped area on Victory Ave (houses No. 18, 30), Small Blue Lakes (Scherbakovo village), Kamskoe Ustye district, Tukaevo district (Melekessky pond) and the Nizhnyaya Kama National Park. The event starts at 9:30 a.m.

The event is aimed at motivation of citizens to take active part in nature protection and at promotion of the ecological culture of the population.

The “Let’s do it!” project started in Russia in 2012. During three years of work, proponents managed to engage 150 thousand people from the majority of regions of our country in annual cleaning campaigns. All in all, more than 6,000 tons of litter have been removed. By 2018, it is planned to establish the National Cleaning Day.
