Ecological and educational campaign “Lesson of cleanliness” was held today at Special School No. 7 of Kazan for 7th and 8th-graders, and it was devoted to the waste management problem. The campaign was organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the local regional department of the All-Russian political party “United Russia”. Deputy Chairperson of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairperson of the Union of journalists of the Republic of Tatarstan Rimma Ratnikova and Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan – Chief State Inspector for Nature Protection Ramil Nizamov were invited as lecturers. They told pupils about the complex approach to waste management, the importance of timely waste sorting, dangers of production and consumption waste, as well as the ways to solve waste-related problems. Moreover, pupils were told about holding of the Open Republican Youth Contest of social ecological advertisement “Clear View”, the Republican Interdepartmental Contest “School eco-patrol” and other events. At the end of the campaign, pupils together with invited guests planted the parkway of blue spruces in front of the school.
The event is aimed at dissemination of ecological knowledge among the young generation of the Republic, fostering of responsible attitude to natural resources and the environment, formation of eco-oriented mindset, support and development of the system of continuous ecological education and enlightenment in the Republic of Tatarstan.
