On September 8, 2015 the Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan — Chief State Inspector for Nature Protection, Ramil Nizamov, met with students and teaching staff at Kazan National Research Technological University n.a. Sergey Mironovich Kirov. The matters regarding results of social and economic development of Tatarstan were discussed during the meeting along with determination of strategic trend of development for the Republic, stability enhancement and civil consent in the society. Achievements and plans of the Republic of Tatarstan in the framework of the program “Strategies 2030” were also touched upon. According to the Deputy Minister for Ecology, the main aims of “Strategies 2030” include high quality of life of Tatarstan citizens, development of human capital assets, diversification of economy of the Republic, adoption by the Republic of innovation course of development, expansion of the international cooperation, active attraction of investors, as well as development of territories and state-of-art technologies. Moreover, in the framework of “Strategies-2030”, a series of large transportation projects including a network of speed and high-speed communications will provide for new quality of space of the Republic, while small towns and rural territories will have a chance to get a “second wind”.
When summarizing the results of work of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ramil Nizamov told that in 2015 the work is carried out in compliance with the framework of the state policy in the field of ecological development of the Russian Federation, and it is aimed at preservation of ecological balance and assurance of sustainable development of the Republic of Tatarstan. The state of the environment is being monitored. Sociological, instrumental, estimation and statistical systems of monitoring are applied for evaluation of the ecological state of territories. Supervisory activities are also carried out. In 2015, supervision was enhanced in the field of consumption and production waste management. According to the Deputy Minister for Ecology, the current situation has been taken under control. All organizational and legislative mechanisms of supervision in the field of waste management have been well adjusted. Moreover, Ramil Nizamov informed that in 2015 a series of large-scale social and ecological campaigns along with target educational programs and quarterly “lessons of cleanliness” will be held at all schools of the Republic.
At the end of his speech, Deputy Minister for Ecology acknowledged that active social stand of each citizen will be the shaping factor for the path of development chosen by the Republic, as well as the credit of trust that the President of the Republic of Tatarstan will have to work with in the nearest future.
