The water alley held in Kazan in the framework of the XVI World Aquatics Championship from July 30 to August 2, was visited by about 15 thousand people. The results of the work of an interactive entertainment platform included thousands of pictures and hundreds of drawings devoted to the theme of man-water relationship. More than 4,000 pictures were posted in social media with hashtags #явода (I water), #берегуводу (I care for water), #водароссии (Water of Russia) and #waterrussia. The contest of children’s drawings on “I water” was also held, and 20 winners were chosen from 400 pieces of work.
Light performances on 6-meter water screens were shown for 4 days along with dance flash mobs, and the visitors could make creative pictures at special-purpose “water” photo-kiosks. Entertaining painting stations with games and contests were arranged for children.
The water alley in Kazan was held in the framework of the Federal Target Program “Water of Russia” on the initiative of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation with support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the steering committee of the XVI World Aquatics Championship held by FINA to disseminate the idea of careful attitude to water.
