Today, the Minister for Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation Sergey Donskoy familiarized with work of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan held in the framework of preparation and hosting of the XVI World Aquatics Championship. Sergey Donskoy inspected the automated station for air control, mobile ecological laboratories (based on Ford Transit) to check the quality of water, soil and air by means of sampling and express analysis for pollutants in water, soil and air with regard to the following indicators: chlorine, phosphate, ammonium, sulfates, chlorides, nitrites, iron, aluminum, and oil products. The Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia visited the Central Specialized Inspection for Analytical Control under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, departments for analysis of industrial discharges and air, water and soil, physical and chemical analytical procedures, as well as biological and operative control. Moreover, Sergey Donskoy familiarized with operation of the eco-analytical vessel “Flamingo” equipped with a system of immersion sensors that ensure continuous measurement of the main physical and chemical water parameters at two depths, which allows to operatively control the state of water. During the XVI World Aquatics Championship held on open water, the state of the water basin of the Kazanka River will be controlled in the online mode.
At the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan, Sergey Donskoy was informed in detail on the ecological map of the Republic of Tatarstan. As a reminder, the matter of integration of the data on ecological monitoring carried out by regions into the unified geo-information system was discussed on May 28ht during the Advisory Council at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation. The Minister Sergey Donskoy acknowledged that the main principle for improvement of the system of ecological monitoring should imply preservation of the monitoring data integrity and assurance of public access thereto.
