The Ministry ofEcology and the Party “United Russia” signed an agreement aimed at improvement of environmental quality and ecological conditions of human life

Today, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Tatar Regional Department of the All-Russian political party “United Russia” signed an agreement envisaging implementation of federal and regionalparty initiatives aimed at formation of a stable ecologically oriented model of economic development, as well as helping in improvement of the environmental qualityand ecological conditions of human life.

The agreement was signed in the framework of the Volga seminar-meeting of heads of executive committees of the “United Russia”of the Volga Federal District. The document was signed by the Chairperson of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Secretary of the TatarRegional Department of the All-Russian political party “United Russia” Farid Mukhametshin, and the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov.Farid Mukhametshin acknowledged that implementation of party initiatives was the subject of the agreement. In particular, it concerned holding of such campaigns as “Earth Hour” and “Car-free day”. According to Artem Sidorov, a plan of joint activities was also elaborated in the framework of the agreement meant to implement a series of important programs, in particular, improvement of the quality of air and water, as well as to solve some issuesrelated to waste placement. The Minister for Ecology accentuated ecological education of citizens.
