City stage of the All-Russian Junior Contest “New growth”started in Kazan.The contest is held by Kazan Board of Educationtogether with Kazan Children’s Ecological and Biological Center. The contest is aimed at involvement of students of educational establishments of Russiainto the process of studying of forest ecosystems and practical nature protection activityaimed at expansion and deepening of knowledge, acquisition of skills and expertise in ecology, forest management and methods of forest protection that lead to ecological education of the young generation, ecological and forestry education and professional self determination. Students of educational establishments of Kazan from 14 to 18 years of age can participate in the contest. Pieces of work in the following categories are accepted for the contest:
• silviculture and forest management
• ecology of forest fauna
• ecology of forest flora
• practical nature protection activity
• preparation for professional activity in forestry
Pieces of work are accepted untilDecember 30, 2014.
As part of the new national project "Environmental well-being" Tatarstan has planned the implementation of 8 environmental initiatives with total funding of 3 billion rubles. The main part of the funds will be used for work on the federal project "Water of Russia", Minister of Ecology Azat Ziganshin said at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Today, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Azat Ziganshin spoke at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was dedicated to the start of the sanitary and ecological two-month period and environmental work plans for 2026 within the framework of the national project "Environmental well-being".
Today, at the weekly staff meeting with the heads of structural and territorial divisions, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Azat Ziganshin, presented badges and official identification cards to the staff of the department.
