Today it’s the anniversary of Head of the Department for Applied Ecology of Kazan Federal University, Doctor of chemical sciences, professor, academician of the Russian Ecological Academy, Chairperson of the Research Council for Ecological Problems under the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Venera Latypova. While congratulating Venera Zinnatovna on her anniversary, First Deputy Minister of Ecology Rustem Kamalov delivered the Certificate of Merit on behalf of the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov for long flawless service in the field of nature protection, as well as fruitful cooperation in the sphere of assurance of ecological safety in the Republic of Tatarstan and the results achieved in the field of establishment of public movement.

It is the first time that consistent patterns of selective absorbance of microelements in the course of their involvement in biogenic migration, as well as consistent patterns of the transfer of substance and energy in water ecosystems of various types have been detected and quantitatively described. Justified and newly created approaches and criteria of ecological standardization of man-induced impact on water and terrestrial ecosystems for protection of biological systems significantly contributed both into science and practice. She carried out important work regarding ecology of the largest water reservoirs of the Middle Volga, landfills, silt detention ponds of biological treatment facilities, as well as oil regions.
Methodologies developed by Venera Latypova were taken as a basis for the experimental method of waste hazard class assessment approved of by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and widely used in nature protection practice of both Tatarstan and Russia.
