The briefing devoted to the results of the Decade for sanitary cleaning of territories of the Republic was held at the Ministry of Ecology

The briefing devoted to the results of the Decade for sanitary and ecological cleaning of territories of municipal formations of the Republic of Tatarstan — it took place on October 8-18th — was held today at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The following officials responded to the questions of the journalists:Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources, Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for Nature Protection Ramil Nizamov,Head of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of TatarstanIlkham Sabirov, Head of the Department for Ecological Education and Interaction with Public Organizations under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Damir Valiullin.
During the Decade, the territories were assigned to companies and organizations, all municipal districts of the Republic received relevant orders and decrees on carrying out the Decade, operative headquarters were created, and the territories were assigned to companies and organizations.Educational establishments, public organizations and citizens of the Republic were engaged in the work. Special attention during the decade was paid to the cleaning of parks, squares, yard territories and playgrounds, food andmerchandise markets, as well as public recreation places, garage cooperatives, and territories of the private housing sector.During the Decade, municipal formations removed 142 thousand 821 cubic meters of solid domestic waste; 197 thousand 082 people, 2 thousand 717 pieces of equipment were engaged; andmore than 188 thousand 975 trees and 41 thousand 568 bushes were planted.
All in all, 3,376 tonsof waste were collected from roadsides and public easement areasof regional importance; while 720 tons of waste were collected from roadsides and public easement areasof federal importance.
In the framework of surveillance enforcement, all in all, 837 violations were revealedin the Republic, following the results of which539protocols were drawn up, andfines were imposed in the amount of 4,375.2thousand rubles.
As of the beginning of the Decade, by the efforts of all nature protection authoritiesand municipalities, 358sites of unauthorized waste placement were revealed, and 297 sites were liquidated, which amounts to83% of the total amount of revealed sites.
Executive committee of Kazan removedmore than 50 thousand m3of waste to the landfills;3,837 yards were put in order,and 36.5 thousand treesand832 bushes were planted.
As of the beginning of the Decade, inspectors of the Central Territorial Department revealed48sites of unauthorized waste placement, and 39 waste depositswere liquidated, which amounts to80%of all revealed sites.
