The “Lesson of cleanliness” was devoted to the International Day of Ozone Layer Protection

Today, the Republican ecological and educational campaign “Lesson of cleanliness” was held in secondary educational establishments of the Republic of Tatarstan, and it was devoted to the International Day of Ozone Layer Protection. The campaign was organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan in cooperation withadministrations of municipal districts and urban districtsof Tatarstan. Fellow workers of nature protection bodiesunder federal and republican executive authorities–the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Department ofthe Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Department of theFederal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service for the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as teachers of profession-oriented faculties of higher educational establishments of the Republic lectured during the lesson.
Specially protected natural area “Blue Lakes” became the central platform of the campaign. The lesson was held by the Deputy Minister–Chief State Inspector for Nature Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ramil Nizamov, together with fellow workers of the regional department of the Russian Geographical Society and the Institute of Problems of Ecology and Subsurface Resources Management under the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan. They submerged under water and familiarizedpupils of the Vocational boarding school “IT-vocational school under Kazan (Volga) Federal University”with unique natural objectsof the Republic. Another field lesson was held on the territory of the companyPZKH operating under trademark “Clean City”. Head of the Department for Production and Consumption Waste Management, Rustem Bogdanov, andHead of the Department for Fostering of Ecological Awarenessand Cooperation with Public Organizations, Damir Valiullin, told pupils of school No. 48 of Kazan about the necessity of timely waste sorting, about the danger ofproduction and consumption wastes, as well as the ways to solve problems regarding waste.
Informing the pupils on a new republican interdepartmental contest “School eco-patrol” was the novelty of this campaign.
Today, the “Lesson of cleanliness”was held in more than 850 secondary educational establishments of the Republic of Tatarstan. More than 12,000 pupils of the Republic of primary, middle and senior school agewere familiarized with the information on the state and necessity of preservation of the environment.The pupils asked a lot of interesting and bright ecology-related questions, and full and complete answers were given.
The eventwas aimed at distribution of ecological knowledge in the young generation of the Republic, fostering of responsible attitude to natural resourcesand the environment, as well as formation of ecological state of mind, support and development of the system of continuous ecological education andenlightenment in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
