4 June 2014, Wednesday
Due to the accident that happened on the river Kama in Chaikovsky district of the Perm Territory (On June 1, 2014 a barge carrying about three thousand tons of industrial salt drowned), the experts of the Cis-Kama and Trans-Kama territorial departments under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan regularly draw water samples from the river Kama in order to prevent deterioration of the ecological state of the water facility. In such a way, the experts drew samples in the area of industrial water recovery in the village Krasny Kluch, as well as in water recovery areas of Naberezhnye Chelny and Elabuga.
Following the results of laboratory and instrumental studies, no maximum allowable concentrations of various indicators (pH, chloride ion, sulfate-ion, nitrate-ion) were exceeded in water bodies of commercial fishing importance. Water quality is still monitored.
