In the framework of a two-month sanitary campaign, specialattentioninNizhnekamskwillbe paid to the rural settlement territories

Thematteroforganizationandholdingofatwo-monthsanitaryandecologicalcampaignintheNizhnekamskMunicipalDistrictwas reviewed today in the framework of a field meeting of the Interdepartmental permanent working groupfor assurance of ecological safety under development of the Nizhnekamsk industrial hub. Themeetingwas held by the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artem Sidorov, and the Head of the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District, Mayor of Nizhnekamsk, Aydar Metshin. Asitwasacknowledgedduringthemeeting,atpresent, a control headquarters was created to organize and coordinatea two-month sanitary campaign. Organizational meetings have been conducted before the beginning of April with all companies and organizations of the city and the district, an interactive map with the indication of all sites and companies assigned to them was elaborated. InAprilaloneitisplannedto conduct 8 Wednesday and Saturday work campaigns. Firstofall, all efforts will be hurled to the removal of snow and coarse waste. During the two-month campaign, the patterns of free of charge acceptance of waste to the landfill are envisaged for the companies that will be engaged in the cleaning of territories. Today, during the meeting of the working group with regard to the matters of ecological safety, the point of unauthorized landfills and their liquidation was raised. Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Chief State Inspector for Nature Protection, Ramil Nizamov, emphasized this fact during his speech. Accordingtohim, fromJanuary 9, 2013 toApril 2, 2014, allinall, 80 sites were indicated in the geological and information system “Monitoring of the sites of unauthorized waste placement” with regard to detected sites of unauthorized waste placement in the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District, whereof 68 sites are already labeled as “liquidated”. The Head of Nizhnekamsk, Aydar Metshin, suggested that the members of the working group consider the matter on allocation of the required monetary means to the work on liquidationof landfills in the framework of a long-term target nature protection programin the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District that could be directed to the purchase of the required specialized machinery for rural settlements.
