The annual international campaign “Earth Hour” will be held on March 29, 2014from8:30 to9:30 pm local time.
The event is annually held by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF)on the last Saturday of March urging everybody — individuals, organizations, schools, municipal formations, commercial establishments — to turn off the light and other non-essential electrical devicesfor one hour (except for elevators) in order to heighten interest in the problem of climate change and energeticunificationof the mankind.
Last year all municipal formations and more than 200 companies and organizations of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in the campaign. As a result,saved power amounted to1,498,000 KW/h.
As part of the new national project "Environmental well-being" Tatarstan has planned the implementation of 8 environmental initiatives with total funding of 3 billion rubles. The main part of the funds will be used for work on the federal project "Water of Russia", Minister of Ecology Azat Ziganshin said at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Today, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Azat Ziganshin spoke at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was dedicated to the start of the sanitary and ecological two-month period and environmental work plans for 2026 within the framework of the national project "Environmental well-being".
Today, at the weekly staff meeting with the heads of structural and territorial divisions, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Azat Ziganshin, presented badges and official identification cards to the staff of the department.
