The South-Eastern Territorial Department revealed the fact of illegal extraction of common mineral resources

Inspectors of the South-Eastern Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan revealed the fact of illegal extraction of common mineral resources(limestone) in Kerligach deposit (siteNo. 1) to the west of Kerligach village of Leninogorsk municipal districtby the Limited Liability company “Kerligach management of open cast mines”.
The protocol on administrative violation was drawn up against the legal body regarding part2 of Article7.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation for the use of mineral resources with violation of terms envisaged by the license for the use of mineral resources, in particular the project ofgeological exploration and a technical project were neither prepared nor approved on the licensed site in accordance with the established procedure. Moreover, the protocol on administrative violation was drawn up against the legal bodyregarding Article 8.5 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation for non-disclosure, deliberate misinterpretation of reliable information on the state and changes in reserves ofsolid minerals in 2013.The company carried out work on extraction of common mineral resources.
According to the submitted statistical reports, the company “Kerligach management of open cast mines” didn’t carry out any activity at the deposit No. 1.
By the order of Leninogorsk Municipal Court the activity of “Kerligach management of open cast mines”was suspended for 90 days.
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
