TheV International Forum “Ecology” is held in St. Petersburg

Today, theMinisterforEcologyandNaturalResourcesoftheRepublicofTatarstan, ArtemSidorov, isparticipatingintheV International Forum “Ecology” that isheld in St. Petersburg in the framework of the project “St. Petersburg is the marine capital of Russia” implemented by the party “United Russia” (Edinaya Rossiya). Theeventisdevotedtodevelopment of the complex of efficient measures aimed at sustainable development of water facilities in Russia.
Plenarysessions, conferencesandroundtableswithregardto themattersofnormativeandlegal regulation of nature protection activity in the field of water resources; minimization of damage inmunicipal wastewater disposal; provision of the population with pure potable water; cleaning ofindustrial wastes; reduction of ecological damage inflicted on water bodies in the course ofmaritime and harbor activities are included into a varied business program of the Forum.Participants of the event will discuss the experience of interaction between Russia, Finland and Estonia in the field of assurance of ecological safety of water facilities, as well as economic activity, recreational potential and maintenance of biological and geological diversity.
