The meeting devoted to the results of the activity of the Cis-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology was held in Naberezhnye Chelny

The meeting devoted to the results of the activity of the Cis-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2013 and the tasks set for 2014 was held in Naberezhnye Chelny with participation of the Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ramil Nizamov. In 2013, intheframeworkofthestateecologicalsurveillance, allinall, 1,828 inspections were carried out at 610 companies and at 816 regional facilities with regard to fulfillment of nature protection requirements. 1,328 violationswererevealed, eliminationofwhichisbroughtunderstrictcontrol; 1,191 protocols on violation of nature protection legislation were drawn up with regard to the facts of revealed violations.
Total amount of imposed fines in the Cis-Kama Territorial Department totaled to 6 million 353 thousand rubles. All in all, 5 million 72 thousand rubles worth of fines were collected. The damage inflicted on the environment and natural resources was recovered in the amount of 5 million 85 thousand rubles. The activity of 8 companies was suspended, while 1 criminal case was initiated.
ConsideringpositiveevaluationoftheactivityoftheDepartment, thetasksweresetfor 2014, includingarrangement of work in the field of production and consumption waste management, identification of nature resource users who don’t make payments for negative impact on the environment, submission of claims to recover inflicted ecological damage, and enhancement of regional water control.
KazanInterdistrictNatureProtectionDeputy Prosecutor, VadimPopov, andSenior assistant of Kazan Interdistrict Nature Protection Prosecutor, Elena Shadrina, also participated in the meeting. FellowworkersoftheNatureProtectionProsecutor’sOfficereadthereportonthe violations revealedin the course of inspection of the activity of the Territorial Department and explained the peculiarities of regional water control.
