The results of activity of the South-Eastern Territorial Department under the Ministry for 2013 were summarized

The meeting of the South-Eastern Territorial Department on the results of activity in 2013 and the tasks set for 2014 was held in Almetyevsk. The Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources, Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for Environmental Protection, Ramil Nizamov, and First Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of Almetyevsk Municipal District, Nikolay Bogdanchikov, took part in the meeting.
In the course of 2013, inspectors of the Department carried out 687 inspections, having inspected 280 companies and facilities, in the course of which 888 violations were revealed and 870 violations were eliminated, amounting to 97.9% of the total amount. With regard to the fact of revealed violations, state inspectors the South-Eastern Territorial Department drew up 874 protocols on administrative violations. All in all, administrative sanctions in the form of fines were imposed to the amount of 4,145,900 rubles, while 3,492,300 rubles (84.2%) worth of fines were collected. Liability claims were raised against offenders for gross violations of nature protection legislation. Thirteen claims amounting to 2,677,351 rubles were referred to courts.
During 2013, 262 sites of unauthorized waste placement were revealed, whereof 255 were liquidated amounting to 97% of the revealed ones.
During his speech Ramil Nizamov emphasized that the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan implements state policy in the field of nature protection to a very high standard. The main tasks of the Ministry include assurance of the exercise by the citizens of their right to favorable environment, assurance of ecological safety, prevention of negative impact of economic and other activities on the environment, as well as elaboration and implementation of nature protection campaigns and projects.
At the end of the reporting meeting, those fellow workers of the Department who had distinguished themselves were awarded with Certificates of Merit and Letters of Gratitude.
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
