The results of activity of the Volga-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan were summarized

The meeting of the Volga-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan “On the results of activity in 2013 and the tasks set for 2014” was held with participation of the Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for Environmental Protection, Ramil Nizamov.
In the context of fulfillment of functions regarding state ecological control exercised by the Volga-Kama Territorial Department in 2013, all in all, 439 inspections were carried out. In the course of the carried out measures, 561 violations were detected, and 581 violations were eliminated, amounting to 103.6% (88.5% in 2012).
State inspectors of the Volga-Kama Territorial Department drew up 406 protocols on administrative offences, which is by 23.9% more than in 2012.
All in all, administrative sanctions in the form of fines were imposed to the amount of 1,461 thousand rubles, while 1,280 thousand rubles worth of fines were collected.
Liability claims were raised against offenders for gross violations of nature protection legislation. Twelve claims amounting to 94,992 thousand rubles were referred to courts, and 8 of them were collected amounting to 53,423 thousand rubles.
From January 1, 2012 to February 5, 2014, 6 claims (whereof 6 claims have been “Settled”) were received through the system “People’s control” to the address of the Volga-Kama Territorial Department.
With regard to the nature protection measures financed in 2013 out of the funds of municipal budgets received as payments for negative impact on the environment in compliance with the approved lists, the following of them were fulfilled: 97% for Aksubaevo municipal district, 99.2% for Alekseevskoe municipal district, the work has been completed in Alkeevsky municipal district, 14% for Novosheshminsk municipal district, 100% for Spassky municipal district and 93.2% for Chistopol municipal district.
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
