Operation "Clean Air" continues: more than 4,500 vehicles have been checked
"Clean Air" operational and preventive event in support of the national project "Ecological Well-being" has been taking place in Tatarstan since June 1. The raids are carried out by inspectors from the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan together with employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan and employees of the interregional territorial Directorate of Rostransnadzor in the Volga Federal District.
A total of 4,541 vehicles have been checked since the start of the operation. These are 4,133 passenger cars, 217 trucks and 191 buses.
The excess was detected in 87 vehicles, which is 1.9% of the total number of vehicles checked (75 passenger cars, 7 trucks and 5 buses).
Explanatory work is carried out with the owners of vehicles that have exceeded the limit on the need to comply with the requirements of legislation in the field of atmospheric air protection. Protocols on administrative offenses are being drawn up.
For example, inspectors from the Zavolzhsky directorate have been conducting weekly raids in the Buinsky district since the beginning of summer. Environmentalists checked 204 cars. And employees of the Volga-Kama department inspected 307 cars in the Chistopolsky district.
Inspections are also taking place in Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny and 21 districts of Tatarstan. Gasoline, diesel and gas-powered vehicles are under control.
Operation "Clean Air" will continue until September 30.
The main purpose of the measures is to monitor compliance with standards for the content of pollutants in the exhaust gases of motor vehicles and to prevent negative environmental impacts.
