The first meeting of the Yunnats of the First united more than 100 activists from all over Tatarstan
The first regional meeting of the Yunate Firsts has started today in the "Saulyk" health and education complex of the Tukayevsky district. The event is held as part of the flagship project of the Movement of the First.
The large-scale event, which is held in support of the national project "Environmental well-being", brought together more than 100 of the most active children from 8 to 17 years old from all over Tatarstan. For three days, young naturalists will be able to listen to lectures, work in teams, communicate with environmentalists, stroll through the ecotrope and visit creative workshops.
Today, the participants were greeted by Damir Valiullin, Head of the Department of Information Systems and Environmental Education. He spoke about the work of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan and about the projects in which unnats can participate.
Damir Valiullin also stressed that such gatherings help to foster respect for nature.:
"Environmental habits are formed in childhood. Such forums give the guys the opportunity not just to learn something new, but to feel like a part of a big cause. I notice how the young people's eyes are burning, how they ask questions, offer their ideas — this means that we are moving in the right direction."
Within the framework of the meeting, participants will have research workshops, project sessions, a concert program, gaming and sports events. The culmination of the three-day program will be the dedication ceremony for the young naturalists of the Firsts Movement.
Since 2018, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society, has been working to involve schoolchildren in the movement of young naturalists. Today, there are about three thousand young people in Tatarstan.
