The grant support for environmental projects was announced today at a press conference in Tatar-inform
Today, the Tatar-inform news agency hosted a press conference on the launch of a competition for grants from the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan for the development of civil society. The speakers were Alexander Terentyev, Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan and Head of the Republican Commission for the Provision of grants from the Head of RT for the Development of Civil Society, Zulfiya Safina, Director of the Republican Resource Center for the Support of Socially Oriented Non-Profit Organizations, and Damir Valiullin, Head of the Information Systems and Environmental Education Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The competition for grants from the Head of RT for the development of civil society starts on July 1. It is conducted in 21 areas, including environmental protection and animal welfare.
This year, the total fund of the program is more than 163 million rubles.
Damir Valiullin told who can take part in the grant competition and which environmental projects Tatarstan residents are interested in:
"In general, grant support is one of the most effective support measures. It is a great skill to unite people and the state. We see all the interesting projects that are being implemented in the republic and are ready to support them. We will invite you to round tables, give consultations and work together."
The collection of applications will last until August 14th. The winners will be determined in the last week of October – early November. The announced and supported projects will begin to be implemented in 2027.
For reference: in 2026, projects in the field of environmental protection and animal welfare are being implemented in Tatarstan using grants:
- "Green code of Tatarstan" (RMEOO "It will be clean", Kazan) — 1.25 million rubles.
The project aims to raise the level of knowledge about the native land among children and youth, as well as to involve them in environmental protection activities and develop patriotism. The events are held in support of the national project "Environmental Well-being".
- "We are responsible" (House of Hope Charitable Foundation, Nizhnekamsk) – 1.99 million rubles.
A project to reduce the number of stray animals by humane methods through mass sterilization and castration, as well as the formation of a responsible attitude towards animals among the younger generation.
