Since June 1, specialists from the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan and the State Automobile Supervision of the Republic of Tatarstan, have been conducting Operation Clean Air. The work is aimed at reducing the negative impact of vehicles on the state of atmospheric air.
In total, 1,191 vehicles were inspected in the first month. These are 956 passenger cars, 51 trucks and 184 buses.
The excess was detected in 13 cars, which is 1.1% of the total number of cars checked.
Employees of the Ministry of Ecology conduct an explanatory conversation with owners of motor vehicles who have been found to be exceeding their limits on the inadmissibility of violations of mandatory requirements of environmental legislation in the field of atmospheric air protection and draw up protocols on administrative offenses.
According to the inspectors, drivers are sympathetic to environmental raids:
"Drivers are mainly interested in ensuring that their cars do not harm the environment. This is confirmed by the figures: only 13 cars were found to exceed the limit. We are grateful to the car owners for their responsible approach and willingness to cooperate in the conservation of nature".
Gasoline, diesel, and gas-powered vehicles are being tested.
The raids cover Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Verkhneuslonsky, Chistopol, Buinsk, Nizhnekamsk, Aznakaevo, Arsk and Leninogorsk districts.
Operation Clean Air will continue until September 30.
This year, the campaign is being held for the 44th time in support of the national project "Environmental well-being". In 2025, environmentalists checked 6,497 vehicles. 168 vehicles did not pass the environmental test.
