The "My ECOsummer" campaign continues in Tatarstan. The first holidays have been celebrated in two districts, and applications are open until July 6
From June 1 to August 31, 2026, the Republic of Tatarstan hosts the Republican educational campaign "Marathon for environmental camps and holidays in the courtyards of the Republic of Tatarstan "My ECOsummer", organized by the Regional Youth Environmental Public Organization "It will be clean" with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The campaign is a comprehensive program aimed at organizing children's ecological playgrounds within walking distance – in the courtyards of apartment buildings, parks, squares, school grounds and sites of institutions of additional education in cities and towns of the republic. The marathon events are held in two formats at the organizers' choice: the yard camp as a series of regular eco-activities and the yard festival "My Eco-Summer" as a mass event for residents, while participants can implement either one of the formats or both. Environmental associations and teams of five people formed on the basis of general education institutions, institutions of additional education, universities, colleges and other organizations of Tatarstan are invited to participate, and the events are designed for children from 5 to 13 years old and for young people from 14 years old. To date, the campaign has already been actively implemented in different regions of the republic. A large ecological festival was held in the village of Betki, Tukayevsky district, during which participants completed an educational quest on birds and species listed in the Red Book of Tatarstan, created handicrafts at master classes, and the junior squad performed poems about nature, the event ended with the awarding of memorable gifts. At the same time, the marathon started in the Sarmanovsky district at the Leshev-Tamak school, where the day opened with an incendiary flash mob, then classes on ecology and useful eco-habits were held for the children, and a team quest game became the finale. Despite the fact that the campaign is already underway, the organizers continue to accept applications from new teams.
