“Ecological and food safety”

Today, the “Safety” section of the platform “Ecological and food safety” took place at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was held in the framework of the Republican Youth Forum – 2013. The following people took part in the meeting that was held under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Kamalov: Head of the “Safety” section of the Republican Youth Forum – 2013, Principal State Inspector for Road Traffic Safety for the Republic of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the State Budgetary Establishments “Scientific Life Safety Center” Roza Akhmadieva, specialists of the Republican Youth Forum – 2013, authors of the projects of “Safety” section in the field of “Ecological and Food Safety”.

With regard to “Ecological Safety”, “Projects in the field of solution of ecological problems and formation of ecological culture of the population of the Republic of Tatarstan” and “Food Safety” 39 applications were considered. Five best pieces of work were presented for defense by the decision of the expert committee that included Deputy Director of the Institute for the Problems of Ecology and Subsurface Resources Management of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan for scientific environment-oriented work, Head of Biochemistry Laboratory Dmitry Ivanov, Principal Adviser of the Department of Ecological Awareness and Interaction with Public Organizations under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Elena Gilmizyanova, Principal Adviser of the Department of Ecological Awareness and Interaction with Public Organizations under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Olga Dylevskaya. The following topics were distinguished:

- Minimization of ecological risks on the territory of Raifsky area of the Volga-Kama State Natural Reserve;

- Formation of ecological culture of the citizens of Tatarstan after the Universiade-2013: new challenges and possibilities;

- Software system and methods of optimization, planning, planting of urban landscaped areas;

- System of mobile monitoring of aerial contamination along large highways of Kazan;

- System of voluntary certification of eco-friendly products.

On December 25, at 2 p.m. finalist projects for February 2014 will be selected with participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan during semi-finals that will take place at the Administration of the State Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan.
