Meeting of the Committee of the State Council on Ecology, Management of Natural Resources and Agricultural Matters

The meeting of the Committee of the State Council on Ecology, Management of Natural Resources and Agricultural Matters was held at the State Council of the Republic of the Republic of Tatarstan. Several issues, including the issue regarding clean water and the state of springs in the Republic of Tatarstan were proposed for consideration, in particular, impact of production and consumption wastes on them. Moreover, plans for work of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan on Ecology, Management of Natural Resources and Agricultural Matters for 2014 were mapped out. Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Principal State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for Nature Protection Ramil Nizamov told about the work of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in this direction. It was noted in the report that the priority goal of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan is to carry out ecological surveillance of the state of water facilities. Hydrochemical indicators at 210 locations at 103 surface water bodies of the Republic are monitored. In compliance with the approved planned schedules, the content of pollutants in water is systematically controlled.
In 2013, 1,491 samples of natural and waste waters were drawn, 26,570 chemical and 2,061 toxicological analyses were carried out. The results of toxicological studies indicated certain improvement of the state of natural waters (6% of non-standard samples vs. 8% in 2012). Meanwhile, relatively stable state of water facilities is acknowledged following the results of the chemical study.
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
