Environmentalists told students about Tatarstan's rivers

Inspectors from the Northern Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with specialists from the Ashit State Nature Reserve, conducted an environmental lesson for schoolchildren in the village of Novy Kirlay, Arsky district.

The lesson was devoted to the water resources of the republic. Ecologists told the students about the importance of rivers for nature and humans, as well as why it is important to take care of water bodies.

The guys learned that the length of the Kazanka River is 142 km, and the river originates in the Arsky district. They also talked about the main waterway of the country, the Volga. Within the borders of our republic, this river reaches its maximum width of 40 km. The river reaches this width in the village. The Kama Estuary is at the place where the Volga meets the Kama River. 

On the environmental quiz, students were able to test their knowledge of Tatarstan's rivers, their history and significance.

The event helped not only to broaden the horizons of schoolchildren, but also to form a responsible attitude towards the environment. The guys realized that water resources are the basis of life on Earth, and it is important for everyone to take care of them.
