Bugulma City Court ruled in favor of environmentalists in the case of illegal fencing of the coastal strip of a water body.

The violation was revealed by inspectors of the Southeastern Directorate as part of a helicopter flight. Environmentalists have recorded an illegally installed fence near the Bugulminsky Zai River in the village of Malaya Bugulma.  In addition, the owner of the site built a staircase to descend to the shoreline, which is a violation of the Water Code of the Russian Federation.

The inspectors sent a complaint to the individual demanding that the violations be eliminated on a voluntary basis. But the order was not fulfilled.

Environmentalists filed a lawsuit with the Bugulma City Court, which fully supported the Ministry's position and ordered the owner to dismantle illegal structures and ensure free access of residents to the river.
