Minister of Ecology Azat Ziganshin paid a working visit to Biological sewage treatment plants in Kazan
As part of monitoring the implementation of key environmental protection projects, the Minister of Ecology made a working visit to the Biological Sewage Treatment Plant (BSTP) in Kazan.
This facility has undergone a large-scale reconstruction within the framework of the federal project "Improving the Volga River" of the national project "Environmental Well-being".
During the visit, the Minister got acquainted with the completion of the commissioning works and noted the implementation of measures in accordance with the approved roadmap. All necessary permits, including a positive conclusion of the state environmental assessment and a permit for commissioning, have been received.
During the visit, special attention was paid to ensuring the quality of treated wastewater. The design capacity of biological treatment facilities is 650 thousand cubic meters of treated wastewater per day.
