Environmentalists have recorded unauthorized landfills near the Chelna River

As part of the monitoring of Naberezhnye Chelny, inspectors from the Kama Department revealed a violation of environmental legislation.

Ecologists have recorded two unauthorized landfills on the territory of the Komsomolsk district of the city. Construction and household waste were located within the boundaries of the Chelna River water protection zone, which is a violation of the Water Code of the Russian Federation.

The total area of the landfills was 35 square meters, the volume was 22 cubic meters.

The Executive Committee of Naberezhnye Chelny has been issued a warning about the inadmissibility of violations of mandatory requirements of environmental legislation and the elimination of landfills.

According to Article 65 of the Water Code of the Russian Federation, it is prohibited to dispose of industrial and consumer waste within the boundaries of water protection zones and coastal protective strips.
