On December 4, 2013, the meeting of the round table “Ecoculture in modern conditions” was held at the National Cultural Center ‘Kazan”. Organizers included the Republican Center for Development of Traditional Culture under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Executive Committee of the Republican Public Movement “Tatarstan is a new age” – “Tatarstan – Yana gasyr”. Principal Adviser of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Elena Gilmizyanova participated in the meeting of the round table. During her speech, she suggested that efforts of authorities, state nature protection organizations, public associations and the population be united to preserve our environment and ensure ecological safety, as well as to support the system of further ecological education and nurturing.
In the framework of the Year for Ecological Culture and Nature Protection in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republican Center for Development of Traditional Culture held the Republican contest of children’s amateur associations “Earth Breath” from January 2013 until November 2013 in cooperation with the Executive Committee of the Political Council of the Republican Public Movement “Tatarstan is a new age” – “Tatarstan – Yana gasyr”. Twenty five children’s amateur associations from Alekseevskoe, Buinsk, Bugulma, Kaybitsy, Leninogorsk, Muslyumovo, Sarmanovo, Chistopol municipal districts participated in the contest. During the contest, specific work directed at children was carried out aiming to preserve the favorable for living environment, and to instill careful attitude to nature.
Participants of the contest, namely children from 7 to 14 years old, planted trees in their native villages under the leadership of adults, cleaned springs, arranged addresses of propaganda teams and little theatres featuring nature protection, as well as exhibitions of crafts from natural materials.
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
