A large landfill has been eliminated in the Nizhnekamsk district
Earlier, the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents of the Nizhnekamsk district about an unauthorized landfill in the village of Shingalchi. Inspectors of the Zakamsky department conducted an on-site inspection, during which they recorded a excavation littered with household waste. The area of the illegal landfill was 5.1 thousand square meters, and the volume was 1.5 thousand cubic meters.
A warning was issued to the Executive Committee of the Nizhnekamsk district about the inadmissibility of violating the mandatory requirements of environmental legislation and the requirement to eliminate violations. Since the landfill was not eliminated on a voluntary basis, the Ministry filed a lawsuit with the Nizhnekamsk City Court. The court fully satisfied the environmentalists' demands.
As of today, the unauthorized landfill has been eliminated, and the quarry has been reclaimed.
