The Total Resolution of the IV Congress on Environmental Protection is adopted

On December 4, 2013, on the day of final sitting of the Congress, 2 thousand delegates from 83 regions of Russia voted for the Resolution adoption. The document, final version of which assumes creation of the Federal Environmental Council affiliated to the Government of the Russian Federation, was supported by 93% of voters.
According to participants of the Congress, whose opinion is reflected in the Resolution, today there is a critical need for creation of a platform for regular consultations of heads of federal and regional authorities for the purpose of coordinated environmental policy realization. For the solution of this problem it was suggested to create a new nature protection body - the Federal Environmental Council affiliated to the Government of the Russian Federation. The initiative is reflected in the Total Resolution of the Congress.
Other provisions stated in the Resolution include a need for approval of the declaration on implementation of the principles of “green” economy for Russia, introduction of new rigid criteria for the state control, environmental assessment, and monitoring, supplementary measures for elaboration and implementation of investment projects of environmentally safe removal of solid household waste etc.
According to delegates of the Congress, environmental problems of Russia are interconnected with problems of global ecology to a large extent. Entry of Russia into the World Trade Organization, joining the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, ratification and joining the system of international treaties impose additional responsibility and large-scale obligations.

As part of the new national project "Environmental well-being" Tatarstan has planned the implementation of 8 environmental initiatives with total funding of 3 billion rubles. The main part of the funds will be used for work on the federal project "Water of Russia", Minister of Ecology Azat Ziganshin said at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Today, at the weekly staff meeting with the heads of structural and territorial divisions, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Azat Ziganshin, presented badges and official identification cards to the staff of the department.
As part of the monitoring of the territory of Naberezhnye Chelny, inspectors of the Kama Department revealed a violation of environmental legislation.
