The campaign on collecting and processing coniferous trees "Fir-sticks" starts in Kazan tomorrow

12 January 2026, Monday

From January 13 to January 31, Kazan residents will be able to hand over a New Year's tree at 18 reception points, which will operate around the clock.

Christmas trees will be accepted only from individuals. There should be no decorations on the trees: tinsel, "rain" and artificial snow.

Recycling Christmas trees into wood chips helps to avoid spontaneous landfills, which are formed annually after the New Year holidays. Eco-friendly disposal of trees is an important step towards achieving the goals of the national project "Ecological Well-being".

Addresses of reception points:

Sovetsky district: Residential complex "Vesna" (between the houses on Azat Abbasov St., 3 and 8), MEGA shopping center (141 Pobedy Ave.), Gathering Point (45 Rodin St.), 100th Anniversary of the Construction industry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Yaratam Residential Complex (Bukharskaya St., 32), Malinovka residential complex (Akademika Zavoyskogo str., 21b).

Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts: Chekhov market (Chekhov St., 2), Prospekt Pobedy metro station (Sorge St., 75), Privilege residential complex (Kasimov Brothers St., 35).

Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts: Serov Boulevard (opposite Serov St., 10a), "Gathering Point" (Vasilchenko St., 6), Arslanov St., 6a (square 1), 5-star residential complex (Komsomolskaya St., 2), Richmond residential complex (Privolzhskaya St., 210).

Detailed information can be found in the telegram bot of the promotion.

The campaign is supported by the Kazan City Hall, the Clean Games – Tatarstan project and SMU-88. Let us recall that the campaign was first held in 2024, when Kazan residents handed over more than three thousand Christmas trees, which were recycled into wood chips for urban needs.
