Today, on the first working day of 2026, a new minister was introduced to the staff of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. It is now Azat Ildusovich Ziganshin.
The corresponding decree was signed by the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. The new head of the department's staff was introduced by Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin. He noted that Azat Ildusovich is well aware of the environmental issues of the republic. "He actively pursued environmental initiatives at the legislative level, took part in significant environmental events. His extensive managerial experience is also worth noting. Azat Ildusovich has a lot of work ahead of him in his new post, and I am sure that the leadership of the republic and the staff of the Ministry will support him in solving the tasks set," said the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan.
In turn, Azat Ildusovich thanked the Republic's leadership for their trust, noting that he was well acquainted with the staff of the Ministry of Ecology. "I hope and am confident of your support and effective joint work for the benefit of the Republic of Tatarstan," said the new Minister of Ecology.
The appointment was part of a personnel reshuffle: Azat Ziganshin replaced Alexander Shadrikov, who today assumed the duties of Director of the Department of State Policy and Regulation in the field of water Resources of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, one of the key divisions of the federal agency.
Azat Ziganshin is not a new person for the ecological sphere of the republic. He is the head of the Tatarstan branch of the Russian Ecological Society and a member of the relevant committee of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. He supervised the United Russia party projects "Clean Country" and "Green Economy" For more than 5 years, he has been actively involved in environmental education projects of the Ministry of Ecology, and works with the youth movement "It will be Clean." On his initiative, a program for the ecorehabilitation of the Noksa River was developed. This project was included in the national project "Environmental well-being".
Born on April 5, 1973 in Kazan. He graduated from I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University. He has significant managerial experience, including as CEO of JSC Tatagroleasing. He is an honored Worker of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan.
