Eco-leaders of Tatarstan will be announced on December 25 in Kazan
On December 25, at 14:00, the Pyramid Sports Complex will host a solemn awarding ceremony for the winners of the Republican ECO-leader Competition, which has been held by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan since 2004.
The competition is aimed at encouraging and stimulating organizations and residents to protect the environment and ensure environmental safety.
This year, 233 applications were received from eco-leaders in 20 nominations. Most of the applications came from the competition groups "Environmental Education" and "Pedagogical experience and Initiatives".
The republican contest in support of the national project "Environmental well-being" started on September 1. Enterprises, educational institutions, public organizations, residents of Tatarstan who are not indifferent to environmental issues and journalists took part in it.
Organizations and individual entrepreneurs participated in such nominations as protection of water resources, protection of atmospheric air, efficient waste management, and the best project in the field of environmental safety.
Local governments will receive an award for achievements in the field of environmental protection in the territory of municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as for achievements in the field of environmental protection in rural settlements.
Three nominations are presented in the field of environmental education - in pre-school educational organizations, in general education organizations and organizations of higher and additional education.
For pedagogical experience and initiatives, you can become an eco-leader for systematic environmental education work in kindergarten, school, and in higher education and continuing education organizations.
Two nominations have also been developed for public associations and citizens.
The media will determine the best TV story, radio story, electronic media material, and publication in periodicals. The award awaits the best eco-blogger.
The winners will receive diplomas and gift certificates.
For reference: the competition has been held for more than 20 years and is designed to find and support the most significant projects in the field of environmental protection. Last year, 291 applications were received from eco-leaders.
