The court upheld the demands of the Ministry of Ecology and ordered the Executive Committee of the Mendeleevsky district to liquidate the landfill
Earlier, as part of the monitoring of Mendeleevsk, inspectors of the Kama Department revealed a violation of environmental legislation. Environmentalists recorded an unauthorized landfill on a total area of 1,589 square meters, the volume was 953 cubic meters.
A warning was sent to the Executive Committee of the Mendeleevsky district about the inadmissibility of violations of mandatory requirements of environmental legislation.
As part of the verification of the execution of the warning, the inspectors carried out a second on-site inspection. It turned out that the unauthorized dump had not been eliminated, but had been moved 20-30 meters southwest into the ravine.
The Kama department appealed to the Mendeleevsky City Court with a statement of claim. The court supported the environmentalists' demands and ordered the Executive Committee of the Mendeleevsky district to eliminate the landfill no later than two months later.
