Earlier, inspectors from the South-Eastern Directorate recorded a violation of environmental legislation in the Leninogorsk district. In the Pismyanskoye rural settlement, environmentalists have identified unauthorized waste storage.
The landfill area was 375 sq.m.
Environmentalists have calculated the amount of damage caused to the soil. It amounted to 623 thousand rubles.
The inspectors sent a warning to the Leninogorsk District Executive Committee about the inadmissibility of violations of mandatory requirements of environmental legislation and a claim for voluntary compensation for damage. The landfill was liquidated, but the Executive Committee refused to voluntarily reimburse the amount of damage.
The South-Eastern Management appealed to the Arbitration Court of the Republic of Tatarstan with a statement of claim. The court supported the environmentalists' demands and ordered the Executive Committee to pay the amount of damage in full.
