The student festival "Divide. Save", which brought together students from 11 universities of the city, was held in Kazan IT-park "Boiling point" site.
The event included both educational and practical blocks. The participants learned about natural animal biotopes, waste recycling, and played a quiz on environmental trends.
At the creative and practical workshops, techniques for the recycling of materials were presented: the creation of eco-book covers, the manufacture of jewelry from recyclable materials, the production of eco-friendly candles.
The results of the "Green Start" competition were summed up at the festival. Throughout the month, student associations conducted and participated in eco-activities. The Volunteer Center of Kazan National Research Technical University became the winner.
Alina Zamaltdinova, Head of the Department of Environmental Education and Interaction with Public Organizations, was awarded a letter of appreciation for her help in organizing the festival.
The full-time stage of the Eco-culture intellectual games tournament was also held as part of the festival. The team of the Institute of Ecology, Biotechnology and Environmental Management of Kazan Federal University became the absolute winner and the holder of the rolling student cup.
Holding such events makes a significant contribution to the formation of an ecological culture among young people, which is an important step towards achieving the goals of the national Environmental Well-being project.
