410,000 activists have cleared the shores of the republic this year: Tatarstan has once again become the winner of the All-Russian campaign "Water of Russia"

On Volunteer Day, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the All-Russian Coastal Cleanup campaign "Water of Russia" in support of the national Environmental Well-being project.

The solemn event was dedicated to summing up the results of the 2025 season. Maxim Korolkov, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, welcomed all the participants and expressed gratitude to the audience for their contribution to environmental protection.

According to the results of 2025, the Republic of Tatarstan took the first place for leadership, high efficiency, mass participation in the campaign, for a significant contribution to improving the ecological condition of reservoirs, the formation of respect for nature, as well as for the largest number of events held. The winner's diploma was presented to Alexander Shadrikov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

This is the merit of every caring resident who takes an active part in environmental protection every day.

In total, 12,044 km of shores were cleared in the republic in 2025. 6,794 events were held, attended by 410,423 Tatarstan citizens.

The Republic of Tatarstan has been participating in the All-Russian campaign "Water of Russia" since 2019, and since 2021 it has been among the top three in the rating of regions of the Russian Federation. Over the past seven years, 1.9 million people have participated in coastal cleanup activities, and about 59,000 km of shores have been cleaned.

At the award ceremony, letters of thanks were also presented to Rustam Farkhullin, head of the Youth Center of the Russian Geographical Society of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Anna Baymyashkina, head of the Regional Youth Environmental NGO "It Will Be Clean", for their active participation in organizing and conducting the campaign.

For reference: The All-Russian campaign for cleaning the shores of water bodies "Water of Russia" has been held since 2014. During the campaign, 11.5 million people went out to clean up, and 12.3 million bags of garbage were collected from the shores of reservoirs.
