71 tons of batteries were collected and sent for disposal by Tatarstan citizens in 2025
Today, as part of the award ceremony of the School Ecopatrol competition, students and kindergarten students who showed the best result in terms of the number of batteries collected were awarded.
During this season, young conservationists sent 71 tons of spent power sources for recycling. Since 2019, Tatarstan residents have collected 239 tons of batteries.
The winners were welcomed by Alexander Shadrikov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. He thanked all the participants, their teachers, and parents and stressed that anyone who makes a great contribution to the environment will definitely treat people with warmth and kindness.
Dmitry Shiller, Head of the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society in the Republic of Tatarstan, noted the great value and importance of schoolchildren's participation in such campaigns. He also stressed that everyone sees and appreciates their activity.

The battery collection campaign has been held since 2019 and is aimed at achieving the goals of the national Environmental Well-being project. The main goal is to form an ecological culture among the younger generation.
