More than 3 thousand applications from environmental assistants: winners of the School Ecopatrol competition will be awarded in Kazan
On November 18, the Tatar State Academic Puppet Theater "Ekiyat" will host an award ceremony for the winners of the School Ecopatrol competition, which is being held by the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan in support of the national project "Environmental well-being". During the 2024-2025 academic year, environmental assistants sent 3181 applications for participation in this competition.
The School Ecopatrol competition has been held in Tatarstan since 2014 on behalf of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. Its main goal is to involve schoolchildren in environmental protection activities and show them the possibilities for preserving environmental objects. To participate, it is enough for students to download the mobile application "I am a student", register and send photos and videos with recorded violations of the rules of waste management in the "School Environmental patrol" category. Each identified case earned points, and environmentalists took the necessary measures to eliminate landfills.
Over 11 years, more than 51,000 unauthorized landfills have been identified and eliminated.
The competition is held among urban and rural educational organizations. The winners will be awarded in the following categories:
- "The most active student" in the categories: Grades 1-4, Grades 5-8, Grades 9-11;
- "The most active class" in the categories: Grades 1-4, Grades 5-8, Grades 9-11;
- "The most active school";
- "The best municipal area / urban district".
For reference: for the 2021-2022 academic year, 3,262 applications were sent to the School Ecopatrol competition. In 2022-2023, 7,349 applications were received. For the 2023-2024 academic year – 3,114.
