The full-time stage of the Clean Heritage Olympiad started in Almetyevsk today. 160 schoolchildren reached the final, and now they are participants in the face-to-face stage. The correspondence stage of the Olympiad was held from October 5 to 7, and 1,791 schoolchildren from 25 regions of Russia and Belarus took part in it. Students of grades 5-9 take part in the intellectual competition. The finalists of the Olympiad were welcomed by Ilnur Nasretdinov, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan:
"The scale of the Olympics is already international. I wish all the guys to have a good time, find like-minded people, share their ideas and, most importantly, make new friends here. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the teachers, educators, volunteers, public organizations, and municipalities for preparing the correspondence stage. Special thanks to the organizers of the Olympiad, PJSC Tatneft. I am sure that future ecologists, researchers and managers have gathered here today. Good luck to all, have a good trip!"
In the next six days, all the finalists of the Olympiad will receive an educational block from experts in the following areas: secondary resources, biodiversity, urban ecology, agrolandscapes, protection of water bodies and the air basin. There will also be a science show from the Academy of Digital Creativity and a cultural and entertainment program from the It Will Be Clean movement for the children.
Based on the results of the Olympiad, 15 winners will be determined, who will be awarded on October 31.
The organizers of the Olympiad of young environmentalists, which supports the goals of the national project "Environmental well-being", are PJSC Tatneft named after V. D. Shashin, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan.
