At the Lyceum named after M. K. Tagirov of Almetyevsk a special eco-lesson was held. It was held for the youngest lyceum students by the hero of the special military operation Igor Egorov. The theme of the lesson, "Caring for the environment," was closely related to his main values: love for his land and responsibility for it.
This is Igor Yakovlevich's third meeting with schoolchildren, who, having returned from the front line, is again engaged in his important work — nature conservation. His return to the profession was made possible by the "Batyrlar. Heroes of Tatarstan" program, which helps its veterans to find a worthy application of their skills in peaceful life. Alexander Shadrikov, Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, is the mentor of the hero in the program.
For Igor Egorov, ecology is not just a job. Since 2001, he has been working for the benefit of Tatarstan's nature, protecting its riches. And in 2022, he did not hesitate to go to the front line. And now, having returned, he is back in the ranks — in the South-Eastern Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, continues to serve his native land.
During the lesson, Igor Yakovlevich simply and sincerely talked to the guys about the most important things: how to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us, and why it is so important to take care of our small Homeland. The children watched an educational film, and after that they were able to personally talk with SMO participant. For them, he became a living example of the fact that real strength is the ability to protect and the ability to look after. He spoke about the unique protected areas of Tatarstan, about rare animals from the Red Book and about what every student can do for nature today: plant a tree, collect waste paper or just not litter.
"Love for the Motherland is born out of small things — out of love for the tree under the window, for the river in which you swim in the summer, for the field where you ran with friends," Igor Egorov shared. — Protecting your land means protecting its nature as well. Since childhood, environmental education brings up the main thing in a person: a sense of responsibility and patriotism. After all, we cherish what is dear to us."
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan regularly conducts such educational initiatives that form a responsible attitude towards the world around children and contribute to achieving the goals of the national project "Environmental well-being".
