Alexander Shadrikov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke at the advanced training course for heads of rural settlements "Rural Management Strategy: an integrated approach". During the meeting, he outlined key areas of work and answered questions from municipal leaders.
In his speech, the minister said that over the past seven years, 71.8 billion rubles have been allocated for environmental protection measures in the republic. Major projects have been implemented such as the reclamation of landfills in Nizhnekamsk, Menzelinsk, Kazan, the cleaning of water bodies in Laishevsky and Mamadyshsky districts, and much more.
Special attention was paid to the new national project "Environmental well-being", which was launched in 2025. It is planned to clear rivers in Naberezhnye Chelny and Kazan, as well as eliminate accumulated damage in Nurlat and Nizhnekamsk.
Alexander Shadrikov separately focused on the problem of water supply in rural areas. As a result of a large-scale audit of water intakes, work has begun on licensing wells. The heads of settlements need to take this issue under their personal control.
The Minister also called on municipalities to use local budget funds more actively to solve environmental problems, the so-called "green money" that comes to the budget from environmental payments, and recalled the new rules for handling MSW.
At the end of the meeting, Alexander Shadrikov answered questions from the heads of municipalities.
