Environmentalists have achieved the restoration of free access to the Bigashka River in Almetyevsk
Earlier, during the monitoring, inspectors from the Southeastern Department revealed a violation of environmental legislation. In Almetyevsk, a fence was illegally erected near the shoreline of the Bigashka River.
According to the Water Code of the Russian Federation, every resident has the right to have free access to public water bodies.
The inspectors sent a complaint to the owner of the land plot demanding that the fence be removed from the shore. Upon re-departure, environmentalists found that the violation had not been eliminated.
The inspectors appealed to the Almetyevsk City Court with a statement of claim. The Court reviewed the case and upheld the Ministry's demands.
Currently, the violation has been eliminated - free access of residents to the riverbank has been restored.
