A violator from Almetyevsk will pay almost a million rubles for damage caused to nature
The Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan supported the environmentalists' demands to eliminate unauthorized waste storage.
Earlier, during the monitoring of Almetyevsk, inspectors of the South-Eastern Directorate revealed a violation of environmental legislation. Environmentalists have identified an unauthorized landfill with a total area of 1,212 square meters on Riza Fakhretdin Street.
The inspectors calculated the damage caused to the soil. The amount of damage was 963 thousand rubles.
A complaint was sent to the owner of the site, however, upon re-departure, it was established that the landfill had not been liquidated.
Environmentalists appealed to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan with a claim for damages. The court upheld the Ministry's demands and ordered the violator to eliminate the landfill.
