The court supported the demands of environmentalists and ordered to eliminate the landfill in Naberezhnye Chelny
Earlier, during the monitoring of Naberezhnye Chelny, inspectors from the Kama Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan revealed non-compliance with the requirements of environmental legislation in the field of waste management.
A warehouse of construction waste, as well as car tires, was discovered in Avtozavodsky district of the city. The total area of the landfill was 30 sq.m.
The Ministry issued a warning to the Executive Committee of Naberezhnye Chelny. However, upon re-departure, the landfill was not eliminated.
Environmentalists have filed a statement of claim to compel the elimination of unauthorized waste disposal in the Naberezhnye Chelny City Court. The court upheld the Ministry's demands and ordered the landfill to be dismantled within two months.
