The violator from Almetyevsk will pay almost 700 thousand rubles for damage caused to the environment
The Ministry of Ecology has won a court case on illegal waste disposal in Almetyevsk.
Earlier, inspectors of the South-Eastern Directorate revealed unauthorized storage of waste on the territory of the former base of the Municipal Forestry Enterprise on R. Fakhretdin Street.
The total area of the landfill was 871 sq.m.
Environmentalists calculated the damage caused to the soil for a total of 693 thousand rubles.
The inspectors sent a complaint to the individual owner of the land plot. The violator refused to voluntarily compensate for the damage and eliminate the landfill.
Then the environmentalists sent a statement of claim to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan. The court supported the environmentalists' position. However, the violator did not agree with the decision and filed an appeal. The case was considered by the Sixth Court of Cassation of General Jurisdiction in Samara.
The court put an end to the case and ordered the violator to liquidate the landfill and pay the damage in full.
