4,123 vehicles were tested in Tatarstan as part of Operation Clean Air in support of the national Environmental Well-being project

Since June 1, the Clean Air operational and preventive event has been ongoing in the Republic of Tatarstan, which is being held in support of the national Environmental Well-being project. Inspectors from the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan and the interregional territorial Directorate of Rostransnadzor for the Volga Federal District, check vehicles for environmental friendliness. Control measures have already been carried out in 23 districts of the republic.

Gasoline, diesel, and gas-powered vehicles are being tested.

Since the beginning of the operation, 4,123 vehicles have been checked. These are 3,713 passenger cars, 206 trucks and 204 buses.

76 vehicles (66 cars, 7 trucks and 3 buses) were found to have excess capacity, which is 1.8% of the total number of vehicles checked.

Employees of the Ministry carry out explanatory work with owners of motor vehicles who have been found to have excess capacity on the inadmissibility of violations of mandatory requirements of legislation in the field of atmospheric air protection and draw up protocols on administrative offenses.

The main purpose of the operational and preventive measures is to prevent the negative impact of vehicles on the state of atmospheric air.

The Clean Air operation on the roads of the Republic of Tatarstan will continue until September 30.
